'Niharkana (নিহারকণা) rehabilitation center' is in Kolkata near Dum Dum run by Kanta Chakraborty, established with the dream of helping street children to grow up in a less hostile environment. Currently they have about twenty kids who are regularly attending schools and left begging at station. They all are bright student, not only doing well in education, excelling in sports and extracurricular activities.
