During these past few months, we all have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in many ways. But despite the hardships and health risks, millions of essential front line hospital workers continue to do their jobs. These unsung heroes are being pushed to their limits (and beyond) as they selflessly care for patients.
Saikat EC, with the help of one of our esteemed members Mr. Shiladitya Roy Chowdhury, have conducted a food drive where we provided 150 dinner pre-packed dinner bags to healthcare workers. Saikat partnered with Sharp Hospital San Diego for this charitable initiative. We delivered the food right away to Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center.
As safety is our priority, for this event, all the pick-up/ drop off was contact less. We also encouraged every volunteers of this event to take every precaution while handling the contents of the bag and maintain social distancing & abide by CDC guidelines. Thank you everyone in GB and all the volunteers for making the Sharp Charity Event a successful one.
